Brand Story
Bodhi creates mindful yogawear shaped by the practice itself, designed for movement, comfort and a more considered way of living.
Meaning “awakening” in Sanskrit, Bodhi grew from founder Nicole’s own journey between fashion and yoga. After beginning her practice in 2015 while working in the fast paced fashion industry, yoga became a place to step away from deadlines and expectations, reconnect with her breath and find a sense of balance. As her practice deepened, so did her desire to rethink the clothing she was creating and wearing.
Increasingly uncomfortable with an industry shaped by overproduction and a reliance on synthetic materials, Nicole struggled to find activewear that reflected her values without compromising on performance or comfort. She trained as a yoga teacher and began designing the pieces she wanted to practise in herself, combining her experience in fashion with thousands of hours spent on the mat.
That perspective shapes every Bodhi design. Rather than approaching yogawear purely as performance clothing, pieces are created around the realities of movement, from supportive waistbands and unrestricted mobility to soft fabrics that remain comfortable long after a practice has ended. Each design is extensively worn, tested and refined before becoming part of the collection, resulting in minimal, versatile essentials made for life both on and off the mat.
Bodhi uses premium FSC certified bamboo fabric blends with minimal elastane, offering a softer, more natural alternative to conventional activewear. Production takes place in small batches with a trusted manufacturing partner whose facility is powered by solar energy, recycles water during production and repurposes fabric offcuts wherever possible. Compostable packaging further reflects the same considered approach.
For Bodhi, sustainability is not separate from good design. It sits alongside longevity, functionality, responsible production and thoughtful pricing as part of creating clothing that people can genuinely live in.
